Venue: Amaroo Centre Grounds (Kleinton)

Duration: 9.30am–2.30pm

Availability: Term 1, 2, 3, 4

Supervision: Visiting teacher and support staff

Student experiences

  • Become Waste warriors and investigate how everyday choices can reduce waste and support a more sustainable future.
  • Investigate waste-reduction solutions through hands-on experiences such as making recycled paper.
  • Explore producers, consumers and decomposers and discover how these roles connect within natural systems.
  • Explore worm farms and compost systems to discover how food waste can be transformed into nutrients for healthy soil.
  • Think creatively beyond reduce, reuse and recycle, considering ethical choices and ways we can contribute to a sustainable future.
