Step 1: Choose a program
Explore our
Programs to see the range of curriculum-aligned learning experiences we offer. All programs are linked to the Australian Curriculum and include pre-visit, field-based and post-visit activities and materials.
Programs can be delivered as excursions at Amaroo Environmental Education Centre in our bushland setting or at one of our partnership locations across the region. All sessions are taught by qualified teachers.

Step 2: Nominate your preferred dates
Once you have chosen a program that suits your requirements, provide
6 preferred dates and any days or dates that are not suitable.
While we do our best to meet your request, we cannot always guarantee your first preference. Where possible, alternative dates will be offered.
Check seasonal program dates
Some programs run in defined seasons due to weather conditions and other factors. Please check that your booking matches the allocated season or dates for the following programs:
Step 3: Complete the online booking form
Complete the
online booking form to begin the booking process.
- Bookings for the following school year open in
week 1, Term 4.
- Bookings received by
Friday, week 7 of Term 4 will receive priority.
- Schools will be notified of their booking confirmation by the end of Term 4.
Bookings can still be submitted after this timeframe, but availability may be limited.
Step 4: Booking confirmation
You’ll receive a confirmation email once your program has been scheduled and dates finalised.
Changing or cancelling a booking
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least
6 weeks’ notice so we can offer the date to another school.
Cancellations made at short notice may incur a fee, at the Principal’s discretion.

Step 5: Prepare for your visit
To help everything run smoothly, we will ask you to provide key details before the excursion.
- Around
8 weeks before your visit, you will receive an email reminder about your booking, including your program coordinator’s name and contact details.
- About
6 weeks before your visit, the Amaroo EEC coordinating teacher will contact you with a pre-visit email. This will include a link to our SharePoint repository, where you will find:
- risk assessments
- timetables
- social stories
- pre-visit and post-visit resources
- additional materials for your program
- class confirmation form
Note:
- A separate class confirmation form must be completed for each class.
- Please do not combine multiple classes on 1 form.
- Forms should be submitted within 2 weeks of receiving the link.
This process ensures we have accurate details for each group attending and that your staff and students are well prepared for a safe and successful experience at Amaroo EEC.
Step 6: After your visit
- After your program, an invoice will be sent to your school. Costs are based on the number of students who attend on the day and will be signed by the visiting teacher.
- We also ask visiting adults, including teachers, support staff and helpers, to provide feedback on the program. Survey links will be provided after the visit.
