Student experiences
- Become an ‘Entomologist in training’ and develop hands-on skills for observing and investigating insects and other arthropods.
- Explore Amaroo's bushland on a guided field walk, searching for and observing invertebrates in their natural habitats.
- Investigate meat ants through a hands-on experiment, making predictions and considering how to conduct a fair test safely.
- Observe insects in resin and other arthropods up close to uncover their fascinating features, behaviours and adaptations.
- Reflect on the roles of invertebrates and the important ways they contribute to healthy ecosystems.
