Venue: Amaroo Centre Grounds (Kleinton)

Duration: 9.30am–2.30pm

Availability: Term 1, 2, 3, 4

Supervision: Visiting teacher and support staff

Student experiences

  • Connect with nature through sensory exploration and close observation of the bushland.
  • Become bushland explorers as you walk through Amaroo, observing and investigating the natural environment.
  • Compare the life cycles of local plants and animals using specimens, puzzles and hands-on exploration.
  • Create an Australian creature from clay, drawing on observations of the features and characteristics of local animals.
  • Reflect on the living and non-living elements of Country and the relationships that connect them.
