Program details

Venue: Amaroo Centre Grounds (Kleinton)

Duration: 9.30am–2.30pm

Availability: Term 1, 2, 3, 4

Supervision: Visiting teacher, support staff and 2 adult supervisors

Student experiences

  • Become anthropologists-in-training and investigate the diverse cultures, knowledge and ways of living connected to Country.
  • Explore and celebrate aspects of Murri and Migaloo cultures, considering ways people live, know and interact with the world around them.
  • Construct shelters, and explore contemporary and traditional tools and fire-making.
  • Explore food gathering and preparation techniques, using knowledge of Country to consider how people meet their needs.
  • Examine artefacts and technologies to uncover the knowledge, skills and values embedded within them.
