Duration: 9.30am–2.30pm
Availability: Term 3
Supervision: Visiting teacher, support staff and 6 adult supervisors/day (not class)
Student experiences
- Receive a personal invitation from Gabarlah and help her solve a big problem through play and exploration.
- Engage in nature play throughout the centre and bushland, using mud, rocks, sand, sticks, nuts, flowers and natural materials.
- Play and learn through First Nations ways of knowing, being and doing, supported by stories and literature.
- Create, explore and collaborate in the natural environment, developing resilience, teamwork and personal and social capabilities.
- Connect with Country through immersive outdoor experiences that nurture curiosity, appreciation and care for the natural world.
