Student experiences
- Trace the flow of water through your school and the local catchment, using maps and observation to investigate where water comes from and where it goes.
- Explore a local waterway on an interpretive walk, observing the plants, animals and environmental features that reveal its health.
- Investigate water quality through biotic and abiotic testing, including classifying macroinvertebrates and collecting field data.
- Connect with First Nations knowledge of water, exploring traditional relationships with, uses of and responsibilities for waterways.
- Determine the health of the waterway and consider how human actions affect water quality and what we can do to care for our catchment.
