Bookings for 2024​

Bookings will be allocated in 2 rounds:

• Round 1 – State school applications close at the end of October, 2023
  
• Round 2 – Non-state school applications will be accepted from February 2024
  

Applications received after these dates will be placed on the waiting list.

Notification for successful first round bookings will be released by Friday, 17 November 2023​.

Please note: The booking policy for all Education Queensland’s Outdoor and Environmental Education Centres is that state schools have first preference before non-state schools.

Student Participation Fee​

State Schools: $13 per student (non-GST) 

Non-State Schools: please contact the Principal​

Booking process  

PLEASE READ before choosing programs/dates!

Some of our programs are run in defined seasons due to weather conditions and other factors. Please check that your 2023 booking for the following programs matches these allocated season/dates:

• ​Power of One program:  19-30 March, 15​ April - 10​​​​ May​
  
• Gabbarlah the Greater Glider: August
  
• Prep Camping: Terms 2 and 3
  
• Creature Features: May
  

Please complete one online booking per program. Up to six classes can be booked per program on the one online booking form.

Please note:

1. Above the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form there is a 'Captcha' box. You need to tick and complete this before you click 'submit' for the form to be successfully submitted.
2. All six preferred date fields must be completed for the form to be successfully submitted.
3. When you submit the form you'll be taken back to the page you're on now; at the bottom of the text you will see the words 'Thank you for submitting this form'. That is your confirmation that the form has been successfully submitted.
4. We will do our best to offer dates from your preferred list, however because of the many schools applying for bookings and the many variables involved we cannot guarantee dates that you have requested.. The Department of Education through Amaroo Environmental Education Centre is collecting personal information in accordance with the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006 in order to make a booking. The information will only be accessed by employees of the Department of Education. The information will not be given to any other person or agency unless prior consent is obtained.
